Institute of Certified Financial Planners
Long Island Society

The Long Island Society of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP) is a professional organization for Certified Financial Planner^® (CFP^®) practitioners.

A Certified Financial Planner (CFP) must complete a rigorous curriculum of all phases of financial endeaveors, including, but not limited to:
Investments - Risk Management - Retirement - Taxation - Estate Issues
After successfull completion of core studies they are subjected to qualifying exams administered by the
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.

The CFP-Board regulates the licensed use of the CFP designation, audits continuing eduaction, and administers disciplinary actions of its licensees.
